Our highly demanded LVN program will begin testing for next year's class! This comprehensive course prepares students to pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). Entry into this course is rigorous and competitive. There will be intense hours of instruction and studying in order to be successful. The LVN program flyer posted on our website has further details.
The upcoming Saturday testing dates are April 28 and May 26. Testing includes a Reading and Math assessment and it takes approximately three hours to complete. You may refer to the TABE Study Resources provided on our website, as well as to other test preparation materials to practice for the exam. Please give yourself ample time to study and practice examples of test questions so that you can do your best.
The placement exam is a timed test and the highest score on either Reading or Math is 12.9 which is equivalent to a 12th grade level. You may be considered for the LVN program if you achieve scores of 10th grade Reading and 9th grade Math. Scores below this minimum are not considered for entry into the program. You are allowed to test once in a program year.
The test begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. and admission into the testing room is not allowed after this time. Check-in at the Counseling Office starts at 7:30 a.m. You may sign-up to take the test at the "Testing" quicklink. On the day of the test, please bring your original photo identification-copies are unacceptable. No cell phones allowed in testing area.
